I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I'm an interior designer in Brunswick, Ohio. It's a family-friendly city located about 35 minutes South of Cleveland (give or take with traffic). I've lived here all my life, and my husband and I are enjoying raising our son in the town where I grew up.
I was "born" into the industry of interior design. My mother, Eileen Smalley, is a prominent designer in our area and she brought me on jobs with her any time the schedule allowed. I am part of the small percentage of the population who can say their childhood "career day" aspirations actually became reality.
My journey "technically" started while working as a design assistant in high school. That is how I realized I had my own passion for the industry, and that I wanted to make this my "forever career". After I graduated, I took classes for Interior Decorating, while also taking part in an all-encompassing three-year Interior Design Apprenticeship. Once that was completed, I "hit the ground running" for my rapidly-growing clientele.
From small projects like helping clients accessorize, to designing and furnishing an entire home in just three short months (7 fully furnished rooms; more with just paint and flooring), to out of state projects in Maryland and Florida; I've been helping clients for the last 12 years, and have loved every minute of it! The places my career has taken me, and the people I work with and for have really been a joy. I love what I do, and I hope it shows in the end results of my projects!
I specialize in Residential and Soft Commercial Interior Design, as well as remodeling and construction consultations, custom blinds and window treatments, custom furnishings, and accessories.
